We provide a range of qualifications and apprenticeships to help learners develop careers in Adult Care Services such as; day care centres, healthcare, care at home, residential and nursing homes. This covers roles like; Support Worker, Care Worker, Team Leader, Activities Co-ordinator, Manager, Deputy Manager and Registered Manager.
We offer 3 main work-based levels of apprenticeships and qualifications:
This is designed for people who are starting their career journey and really focuses on all the frontline practical knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to be a great and confident carer. This requires the learner to be in an apprenticeship role so that all the hands-on experience can be gained and evidenced. The Apprenticeship typically takes between 12-18 months to complete and also includes the Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care. Where the cost of learning for an apprenticeship is paid for by employers, It is possible for learners to just study the diploma, but this might come at a direct cost to them.
This apprenticeship and connected qualification is for Carers who are starting to take or want to take a leading role in providing adult care. This might be leading a team in the delivery of care, such as in the role Team Leader or developing broader and specialist knowledge around care relevant to the role of Senior Carer. The diploma can be studied on its own, but again does still require that the learner is in an appropriate care role and may come at a direct cost to the learner. The programme typically takes around 18 months to complete.
This apprenticeship is designed for learners starting in management roles or wanting to become managers in an adult care setting. This is also a requirement for becoming a Registered Manager of a registered service. It is important that learners want to take part on this programme have genuine opportunities to work on the full range of manager tasks in order to demonstrate competence.
The course typically takes 18-24 months to complete and covers areas such as; compliance and regulations, safeguarding, delivering quality services, leadership and professional development. Again this can be delivered as just a diploma outside of apprenticeship levy funding.
